Donations made now support the Foundation during its startup phase and will become tax-deductible once our 501(c)(3) status is officially approved by the IRS. Approval is anticipated in 2026, following delays related to the federal processing backlog. Once approval is granted, it will apply retroactively to the date of our incorporation, meaning eligible donations made before that date can still qualify as tax-deductible.

All donors will receive an updated acknowledgment letter by email once the IRS determination letter is issued. That letter will confirm our official charitable status and include the information donors may need for their records or to amend prior filings if applicable. We’ll also share updates through our website and email newsletter so supporters know exactly when the change takes effect.

Current donations fund the early groundwork that makes future impact possible. This includes essential startup costs—like legal filings, digital infrastructure, and compliance systems—as well as the design and testing of our first community programs that connect direct relief with civic learning. Every dollar helps build the foundation for sustainable, accountable impact once operations are fully underway.
